This is a "foot" for 4040 rail, commonly used to assemble 3D printers like the Ender 3. The main purpose of this is to allow the 3D printer to be elevated higher off my desk, so it is easier to reach while standing up. It also has the advantage of allowing me to store items underneath the printer.

The design of this is based off high voltage pylons I see used to elevate transmission lines high in the air.
