This is a fan adapter that allows an 80mm fan to blow into a hole meant for a 60mm fan. This does not allow an 80mm fan to be mounted into a 60mm location. Instead it has holes in the bottom that allow a screw to be used to mount it into onto a flat surface. The access holes can then be taped over with electrical tape. The 80mm fan is attached to the duct by some small screws.

I used this to replace an internally mounted power supply cooling fan with an externally mounted fan. This fan is much quiter than the cheap one originally installed inside the power supply.
