2023 Feb. QRP operation at Lake Georgetown

I operated QRP at Lake Georgetown in Texas. I was using my Yaesu FT 818 with a vertical whip as an antenna. I did not work as well as I hoped on 20m. I only managed to reach a few stations.

I tuned the antenna down to 40m, but there was some tremendous S8-S9 interference that would persist for about 4 seconds, then pause for about 12 seconds, then resume again. I noticed a streetlight opposite where I was at that seemed to be stuck on during the day, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was the source of it.
